We are trying to write code to interogate which application a user has running on their PC prior to our code attaching to that application.
We tried different ways like using error codes, so if one app isn't there the code would try the next one, but that didn't work. So we are now looking at identfying which app is loaded using the Windows API, but can't find any example code. The two applications are Attachemate Extra and Hummingbird.

Does anybody have a good link that returns the PID of an active application?

Thanks

Sorry for being dumb, and thankyou for the quick response, but I couldn't make out what I should be using from the exmaple. I'm looking for something small and simple that tells me the PID of active an program.
