Windows 98se and IE 6.0

Hope someone can help just reinstalled win98se installed IE 6.0 updated with all the patches from microsoft. The problem is everytime the user goes to check web email it ask to login which the user does and they check off remember my password it logs them in fine but when the user logs out and logs back in it asks for all the login info again. checked the settings in IE 6.0 it's set to auto complete user names and password also ran the pstore -install utility under windows\system still does not work any help is appreciated.

Are cookies on or off? Likely need to be on for web mail to work properly. Did you do all the patches for Windows as well as IE 6?
You could try it with Mozzila.

Yes its set to accept all cookies and IE is patched with the latest from microsoft. It's not only mail it happens with any login from the web. I am trying to help the user from entering their login information all the time.

Tools/Internet Options/Content/Autocomplete

Then check the boxes you want to auto-complete.

which web e-mail page are you visiting?

We have an exchange server for mail but if the person does not want to use outlook they can view their mail from the web so you have to login you enter your id and password and you can check off remember my password but even with it checked off the next time you check your mail through the web from the same machine the id and password are blank and you have to enter it again.
