windows 98 wont shutdown cuz of a fatal exception at nvcore.vxd

everytime i go to start>shut down...>shut down it goes to a blue screen saying the
following:
"A fatal exception OE has occoured at 0028:c14b22a4 in VXD NVCORE(01) +c001aa44.
The current applacation will be terminated."
but no mater wat button i press it just doent go away!!
what do i do?!?!?
pleaz someone help my computer has been on for more den a month n my electrical bill
is extremly big!!!

If you are using a NVIDIA graphics chip, it sounds like the kernel, has been corrupted.
You can find what you need to uninstall and than re-install the driver and assorted files. Or you can try to replace the file NVCOR.VXD from the install disk.
