How can I change the message "windows 98" that appears in the START menu?? I wanna say something else...how can I change it?? I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

What "windows 98" message? It's not in my "Start" menu.

Download a little utility called Tclock(you can usually find it at zdnet.com or downloads.com),it will allow you to change the bar on the side of the start menu and you can change the look of the clock in the system tray as well,I used it when i ran windows Me,last time i knew it was still freeware.I hope the bar on side of the start menu is what you were talking about?

post back and let us know!

What I meant was, when you hit the START button, on the left side you have the words "WINDOWS 98" written veritcaly...I wanna change that text...I think it can be done via regedit...not sure where though... I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...
