Can anyone help, when I shutdown windows via Start/Shutdown, my computer just turns off instantly. When I reboot I then get registry errors.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

thanks

Try opening msconfig, (start:run:msconfig) and check to see if "disable fast shutdown" is checked under "advanced", it should be.

You can also go to the MS site and dowload an update that delays shutdown by a couple of seconds which may help.

When I startup windows98 on a thinkpad 600, I get an internal modem error. How can I fix this?

Do you have an MWAVE modem/sound card? Klae

You're only as good as your last answer!
