Windows 95 error msg

Friends, I am getting this message when I check the system;
Win 95 is running in compatibility mode and this will slow
performance. Any ideas? This is an an old ACER computer.

Usually it is one of 2 things. Either the IDE controllers are not installed properly, or you have a boot sector virus. Check the Device Mangler and see if the controllers have a problem. And scan the PC for viruses.
