I have two computers with the same set up.
I use Access for the design of databases.
It works.

But today, for some reason, Windows close the application on both computers!
Is this related with the bug-fix MS released the other day!?

I may add, I'm not an "early adopter" in such sense and I do not mind using older software, as long as it works.

What could be the issue!?
This version of MS Access has been working great in all computer for many years, from 2000, I believe...

I try now to use OpenOffice to Edit the database. It's sort of working...!
Not really, to be honest!

Bummer!!
I don't like!!
Is there another tool that can be used as user interface to MS Access Database!?

Yes, its called Access - perhaps its time to fork out for an updated version?

As of the Windows Update made by may 10, 2016, older version of MS Access was stopped working. (Likely MS don't want backward compatibility!)

I have two identical computers running Windows 8.0 (or 8.1) and now Office 2000 and Access is working on both of these. Likely, it will be the key to make antique versions of Access to run in Windows 10.

Computer 1:
Re-install Office 2000 = error remain.
Install Visual Studio Community 2015 = error was fixed!

Computer 2:
Install Visual Studio Community 2015 = error remained.
Re-install Office 2000 = error was fixed!

I'm sure there are easier ways to get Access running! Or!? If there is any, please post! :)

Maybe it is just your JET engine that needed updating. You don't really need Access to be installed to use the JET engine.
