Hello,

My Windows 7 x64 Home Premium updates are failing with error code 800736B3

I've tried the "Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 x64" and they still fail.

I've tried SFC /SCANNOW and they still fail.

Please Help!!

Thank You!

Take a look at this article (below). It gets a little complex and in my experience a reload is often at the end of many hairs being pulled out and utter failure. The only other thing I would do first is to try to only install one update at a time and see if any of them will work. If successful, reboot and try another until the are all installed or you reach one that fails. Do that first, then:

Thanks goombawaho,

I have tried installing one update at a time and they all fail.
I will take a look at the link you provided and see if I can make heads or tails from it.

I hate to be a pessimist but it's often appropriate. See what you can do.

That's not likely the reason for the updates failing. Those "bad" updates never failed to install, they just caused a problem after successful installation in some instances. Not for me.
