Windows 7 Telnet to Nortel 2245

When telnetting into our Nortel 2245 unit after upgrading our pc to windows 7 the response is so slow it it nearly impossible to make any changes.
Has any one run into this issue?
 
Maybe download and try Putty. I rarely use Telnet because a lot of customers networks don't allow it.
 
Maybe check your port settings?

Putty does the same thing
Not sure what port settings would need to be changed.
With a pc running XP
there is not a problem. I am able to connect to the OAI device with Windows 7
and can slowly navigate through the menus.
 
Not sure, I don't have the issue using Telnet or Putty on Windows 7. Could be a variety if things, not necessarily a Windows 7 issue. Could be firewall, security,really anything.
 
I just used Telnet and Putty on my WIN 7 machine to a signal server running Linux, acts the same using either program.
