Windows 7 Sticker but running XP-Pro

Hi guys, its me again almost with the same question. I now got a Panasonic Toughtbook running XP-Pro, as it was purchased but on the bottom of it there is a Windows 7 MS sticker. XP does not look like the Windows 7 mode I talked about earlier. Is it possible that XP-Pro was installed here yet uses an Win 7 sticker? If so, why? Could I have done the same thing to my earlier post, place a Win 7 sticker but install XP-Pro?

The license from Panasonic allows the xp to be installed for a set number of months. The are not allowed to sell anymore xp licenses. If there are windows 7 drivers, you can use the code to install windows 7. Didn't read your previous post.

Some Manufacturers allow the downgrade option to XP if required.

While The PC has to ship with 7, and features a Windows 7 sticker. The XP option is available. I believe they provide an XP CD for the install and a valid XP CD key to install as the Win7 key on the sticker is likely not to work.

Assuming you have a valid Windows XP license you could have formatted the machine and installed XP. You could either replace 7 entirely with XP, or have a dual boot scenario where you can boot to either operating system as you need, but both are completely independent of each other.
