Windows 7 > XP Mode Question. 1

Hello,

We want to use Windows 7 Pro, with XP Mode.

Do you need to purchase a full copy of XP Pro, to run it with XP Mode?(We already purchased Windows 7 Pro. We were hoping to avoid the additional cost of XP Pro as well.).

The XP supplied when you download both parts of the free download is already Activated and fully updated with SP3 and all for free.

Could I ask one more question? If you are running Win 7 64bit, will the XP Mode be 64 bit as well? Thanks.

XP Mode will run the guest Virtual Machine as a 32-bit operating system. No virtual PC from Microsoft can run a virtual 64-bit guest operating system.

Thanks for the info on 32/64 bit virtual PC. That's something that popped into my mind, wondering about at times, but never really tried to get it sorted out.
