I have a critical 2k server(HR payroll) that crashed after being shutdown when attempting for it to recognize the internal tape drive(HP ssDAT40). Was trying to run a backup to the tape drive and realized it did not see the drive. so shut down the system and got: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The session manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of (0xc0000022 0x00000000). The system has been shutdown.
It then says to check and disable any new hardware or software that was installed..... i disconneced the tape drive and it sees all hard drive, 3 disk RAID when its starting up and other devices, looks like windows is starting, and then get the blue screen of death... with same error... One important thing to mention is that before the error occurred, an attempt was made to back up the machine and i didnt realize that it didnt recognize the tape drive, so it started backing up to iteself and crashed because the dik wqas full..i then deleted the backup job and got the space back and then shut the machine down...unfortunatley i'm not too familiar w/ this system, but need to fix it... is it time to call Microsoft or Bill Gates? thanks for any information...
