Hello,

I just set up a windows 2003 server on my network. The problem is the server dosent show up! I have port forwarding set up right. I can see the default page on the server itself by typing but not from any other pc on the network by typing http:192.168.2.last 3

Can anybody help! Please?

Hi,

My main problem now seems to be that the server is not showing up on the network. I cant ping it from any other pc. It connects to the internet and I can run the website from the browser on the server box but it cant be run on any of the other PC's even using the local (server) IP.

Hopefully someone can help. I have been working on this for 10 days :(

Ok so can you log into the network at all?
Can you ping the other pc's from the server?
is the server behind a firewall at all?

Regards
Max

Hey guys,

I am having this same exact problem. Anyone have a fix for it yet. If not, let me know what information you would need from me and I will get you everything you need to help me. Thanks.

Justin

Hey just a thought have you renamed the server at all. I don't mean the domain name i mean the server name.
Unless you do it right it will lose connection to other pc's.
I found this out the hard way.

Regards
Max

Hi all

Have you checked that the windows firewall is turned off?
Or are there ANY (Desktop) Firewalls?
What about the physical infrastructure between the Server and the Clients you test from?

greets
