Windows 2003 Server unable to update

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

A couple of months ago we installed project server, this caused some other problems, then the software was removed. Since then Windows update has not worked. When we try to update we get the above message.
The internet security has been enabled and active x enabled same error message. I looked at the update log, not sure what to look for and try to fix. Any ideas??
We have a email into Microsoft, they say we will get back to you in 48 hrs.

firewall blocking the downlaods. There are a lot of downlaod servers at MS with all different IP address could be that you have allowed some IPS but not the ones your 2003 server is currenlty trying to go to for updates

I figured it out. The easiest solution ever..........

Clear the cache in Internet Explorer then it works
