Hi Guys,
I have a pretty big issue here and I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm running Windows 2003 Server R2 Standard and I'm trying to set up my users to where I can, as an admin, log on to their computer and view their session interactively along with them. I.E. They call me for assistance and I can log onto their screen, while they are still on it, and I can fix their issue. Or so I can simply view what they are doing. I know with Remote Desktop I can take over their computer but that logs them out. How do I set it up so I can interactively view their session. I see the options there when I set up a user and I've tried searching the entire 'net for days, so I'm hoping someone can help.

Thanks in advance.

Try logmein.com, you have to install the client software on each computer but it is free and has done pretty well for me.. Windows xp remote assistance is also and option as long as they are all XP pro clients.. just send a remote assistance file to yourself from each computer(Help and support center/invite a friend, save as file and save that file to your computer) as long as all computers are allowed to have remote connections in system properties you can probaly just save the file once and edit the connection properties in the file..it's just an xml file..

You can use 3rd party software like Tivoli or Dameware or you can also use Netmeeting. That is builtin to windows xp and server (Start, Run, CONF) and once that is setup you can type thier IP or computer name in and place a "call" to thier computer from there they can share thier desktop or even just 1 program, it also has builtin chat, whiteboard, and file transfer tools. and this can all be done while they are logged in.

Hope this helps.

Remote Assistance in XP should work fine.
