We have a Volume Open License, Per Server, with about 75 users. We are installing an Exchange server and want to change our licensing to per seat (user). I believe we will then be able to use those licenses to access the Exchange server also. Is this true?
We have all 2000 and XP machines. Will we have to do anything to them when we change to per seat? And if so, what?
When we make the change, do we have to do anything to assign a particular license to a particular user? How does that work?
If a particular license is assigned to a particular user can we reassign the license to a new user if that user leaves?
Sorry for all the questions but I have yet to find a step-by-step to per user license installation. Or is that because it is a lot simplier that I think?
TIA for any help.
