I have WIN2K on a DELL Latitude CPx and I keep getting a SPOOLSV.EXE Application Error upon StartUp. I can stop the SPOOL.EXE Service from running (change it from automatic to manual), but I still can't print. I installed a XEROX WorkCenter 470cx and I think there may be issues with the driver, but the XEROX website doesn't list anything. Anything is helpful, Thanks in Advance.

I get this exact same error, it crashes on startup, and unable to print, or turn on print spool services, or add a printer, and compalins about reasources, on the print add only, it happened after I installed software for my modem, that I guess in turn tried to install the bitware print manager (it was NT4 software).

if anyone has ideas on how to fix this, I'm sure we would both greatly appreciate this Karl

Nope, it's really strange, I can turn off the print services and the error messages go away, because the printer is never being called to. I obviously can't print though. I succeeded in uninstalling the driver a couple of days ago and I have yet to re-install. I've been to busy. I couldn't uninstall before, because accessing the printer in any way caused the OS to lock up. I would have to unplug and pull the battery to shut down. Thanks for the response...

Any further thoughts?
