Hi,
I am using Windows NT 4.0 and thinking to upgrade to Windows 2000 Professional. I want to know that Windows 2000 is Stable and Secure than NT 4.0?
Thanks.LOL

also with 2000, when you install printers, scanners, and all other peripherals that needed rebooting on the old NT4, well, you don't have to do that with W2K...woohoo!

More Stable ? Defenitely, I have yet to have a crash in 2000professional. On the rare occcassion that I have had an app' crash I have been able to end the problem app' gracefully and continue to work.

More Secure ? Yes again, The addition of encryption and NTFS 5 makes it a winner!

Hello!

I have run Win NT4 and it is neither fun to work with nor particularly stable in my opinion. I run WIN2k Pro Service Pack 1 on a Intel PII 300 MHz 128 MB, and it is very fast and mostly stable. And it is fun to work with.

The only problem I have is to install some programs. The setup starts, but then just disappears (very seldom, but it happens).

WIn2k supports new hardware you just can dream of in NT4.

And the best of all. I can play Quake2 on it :)
