I AM RUNNING WINDOWS 2000 WHICH HAS (1) OPERATIONAL VERSION AND (1) CORRUPTED VERSION. I WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE THE CORRUPTED VERSION AND INSTALL WINDOWS 98SE AS THE SECONDARY OS. MY MANUAL SHOWS NO PROVISIONS FOR DELETION OF WINDOWS 2000. IF THIS IS POSSIBLE WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE DETAIL THE PROCEDURE FOR ME. ALSO MY MANUAL INDICATES THAT WINDOWS 2000 AND WINDOWS 98 CAN BE INSTALLED IN ANY ORDER. Thanking you in advance.

Tell us more about Your configuration (number of partitions at first )then we can suugest You the fastest and safest way.otherwise it's a long story. If You have no valuable data on disk ,boot from cd when asked delete partitions, create them (size'am as You wish than format them one Fat 32-win98se other ntfs-win2k,or both fat32,after that install win98se first..When finished insert win2k cd then prompt choose new install on diferent partition setup will lead You further.This is row explanation ask for details .
You can use the Windows 98SE boot disk to start the PC. When the DOS prompt comes up, type 'fdisk', then see what partitions you currently have. Delete the partition that contains the corrupted version of Windows 2000. Create the new partition and restart your PC. Go into your BIOS and set the BIOS to pick up CD-ROM as your first boot priority. Put the Windows 98SE disc into the drive and let the disc do the work. It will ask you what partition you want to format to FAT32 and install Windows 98 onto. It will reformat that partition and install Windows 98.
