Windows 2000 shuts down when unlocking screen from screensaver

Hi all,

I have a slight problem. On this particular pc (windows 200 sp4),user locks her screen and walks away. When she returns does the ctrl+alt+del to get the password box. She enters the password and the screen unlocks. But after a second or so it starts to shut down. Then she gets the screen "it is safe to switch off". This dont always happen but at least twice a week.

Any one with any ideas?

My only advice is make sure all updates and patches and service packs are installed.

Run scandisc and chkdsk then. Might just need ran.

I mean run chkdsk and defrag.
