Windows 2000 server wont boot

i have a windows 200o server unit (compaq ML 330 with an integrated IDE Raid controller). when started up would boot to the blue windows 2000 server screen and stay on that screen and would not move forward, but the unit would not freeze the keyboard (numlock ) would still respond.

anyway i boot up and get into recovery console mode and run chkdsk /p /l and it starts and freezes at 72% for the last 10hrs. this unit is a domain controller and i need to recover the data etc. any ideas of what next i try.

Putting your head between your knees and crying maybe... No, try the ERD commander. You should buy it. There is a good chance you can recover with it. Here is the link..
