Hi,

I have 2 offices, one on one network ie 192.168.1.x and another on a different network 200.1.1.x. Both have Win2K servers and I have configured routing and remote access in both offices to act as routers and vpn servers. I have also created demand dial connections and static routes between them. If I try to ping an ip address of a machine on the other network from the server this works fine, but when I try it from a client using their local Win2K server as a default gateway the request times out, However the ping does initiate the connection, having checked the server logs.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Many thanks in advance,

Neil

Hi, I dont have it to hand at the moment, but the default gateway line is forwarding everything other than local traffic on to the server. I forgot to mention earlier that the server routes internet traffic no problem at all.
