Windows 2000 server share internet

Hello, can we share an Internet connection of a 2000 server with a cable modem whit 2k station? thank you
 
Yes, you might need a router like Linksys EtherFast® Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch...or any equivalent device.i beleive that would be your best choice. A+, MCP, CCNA

thank you but I dont whant to use a router juste the server like Windows XP you share the connection whit other user
 
Yes you can with WIN2K. On the system that has the direct connection to the cable modem you will need to NIC's. One for the Internet and the other for the local network. Once you enable ICS that box also becomes a DHCP server so set your workstations to use DHCP. I believe the default IP scope is 192.168.x.x I also think another option you can use on server is RRAS. I do believe you can use RRAS for local users to access the www.
