Several items of software (either loaded on server or workstation) can't be accessed by regular users but can be by the administrator.

How do I make users powerusers?

Add the user needing access to the local PC or grant permission to the resource on domain.

The user has to be permitted to use everything in W2K. Either Local or on a domain.

When Software runs on the local PC using W2k, that software needs to access the PC's resources. The software uses the login permissions of the user to access the resource.

A domain users account can be added to the local PC by using the icon in control panel called users and passwords.

Of course the domain account can be added to domain resources to grant privileges to the resource.

I had some problems getting domain users to run certain local programs - one of which is MS Works (yea, i know, it's garbage). I Overcame this by running regedt32, and setting the permissions to the program in question. Scott Cybak
