windows 2000 server AD security Groups

i created one security group in actvie directory and
add some users to that security group and allow this
secirity group to read and write security permissions
on one of the folder on server but users in that security group cannot open folder they get message that access
denied.

Check that the Share permissions allow access too.

FreeStone thank you for replying in share permissions
everyone has full access. is there any special
requirement when creating security group if i add
some domain users in member tab what about 'member of'
tab.

For each member in the security group you created, looking at their user object "Member Of" tab should show them as belonging to the security group.

The "Member Of" tab for the group itself would be used if you wanted to nest that group in another group.

When you change groups for a user, they have to logoff and log back on before those settings take effect.
