Home pc is W2K SP4 connecting to and XP Pro box on the domain at the office. Were using Cisco VPN client 4.01.

When I have the home pc in the office and remote to another office pc it works fine (it's not added to the domain, just plugged in for internet).

As soon as I fire up the VPN and connect to another machine it times out saying it can't find the pc. I can't ping anything once the VPN is connected. if I do this same process with other boxes on our network I can ping away and RD to anything else?

Is there some MTU, or other network settings that need configured in the VPN client that would differ from W2K to XP Pro?

More info on the w2k box: It had a lot of spyware on it and a few virusses. All have been removed and cleaned thouroughly. VPN client was added after box was cleaned up so the install is good.

When checking the status of the vpn connection almost no data is going out, and none is being received? I had it up for 7 miuntes and another vpn connection I fired up passed it in sent/received data in about the first 5 seconds.
