Windows 2000 reboots after login

Help!

I am not overly technical with operating systems, just enough to get myself in trouble. Anyhow, I have Dell Demensions XP 200 system that keeps rebooting after login. The desktop appears for an isnstant and then the system reboots. I have disable "auto reboot" and the following message appears on blue screen after being dumped out:

STOP: 0x0000001E (0x0000005, 0xF91007E9, 0x00000000, 0x0000005A)
*** Address F91007E9 base at F9100000, Date Stamp 37f400b0-Diskperf.sys

Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete. Contact your system administrator or technical support group.



Any ideas on how to fix this probelm?

One, additional note...

I can start the computer in safe mode and get past the login screens to the desktop.

I would still guess bad memory. Do you have a stick you can swap from another system and verify that the error does/does not exist? Nate Gagne

I had same prob..my experience was a bad video card ....

Ok, most comp probs are just elimination. Do as ngagne suggests, swap your memory over. If you still get the same prob, try a new video card. Still having probs? Try the network card, then sound etc.
If you can get into Windows in safe mode then its most likly to be a driver issue. Do the elimination process and find out what hardware it is. After you do that see if you can get the latest driver.

Can you start up in Safe Mode with network support? I've the same problem, but it won't start with network. I get the exact same message.

I've run into this before.in my cases it has been a driver conflict. Was the computer working fine before this event began. If so, have you added or made changes within the operating system? In my case it has been a driver conflict that has caused the rolling. Hope this helps. If this seems logical to you, just do a repair on the operating system by using your recovery CD and follow the instructions.
