Windows 2000 pro sp4 installation problem.

I have a client machine, where he ran the update for service pack 4, but ran into problems. During installation the machine frozen at about 80% of the install, and as an instinct he rebooted the machine. The problem that happens now is that the machine never enter the login in screen, is always crashed and reboots itself as it's loading.

The good news is that he archived the old files into the default folder, but I can't even boot in safe mode, or into the ms-dos mode.

Any advise or recommendations on how I can restore the archive files.

the problem is that the SP4 wasn't test will by users in this site,, anyway ,, I think you will try to repair the Windows by Windows CD ..

try to find a bios update first, the if that does not work then try to fix the mbr in the repair console
