To let you be more at ease (if there is such a thing), I agree with cohortq. I have W2KPro, essentially the same when it comes to log on. Personnally, I would crack the box(if there is an NIC), and find out what all the drivers and hardware require and write it down. Then fresh install. Then you KNOW you have your own stuff, ya know?
Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. I don't know how it's done; all I can tell ya is that it was done to me. I had SP3 and a 17 character password including CAPS,#'s and symbols. They got in and stripped me of administrative access, and access to almost everything--even UT and AOE2!!!! Anyway, that was before I got the router, that is another story...
