Windows 2000 Error

Getting the following error:
The Instruction at "0X7831713e" referenced memory at "0X0014700a". The memory could not be "read".
Anyone have any ideas of what the problem might be and how to fix?

Bit of context/background would be useful. Eg, what are you doing/running when you get this message. Has it just started happening. Have you made any chnages recently. Your PC spec etc.

It did just start happening today. Not sure what has recently been done to this machine. Our administrator is constantly pushing updates to different PCs plus the user could have done something. Right now this is the only info that I have.

So you don't know when its happening? (running an app, booting etc). And is it fatal - or can you continue with something else?
