Windows 2000 DNS Installation In A Bind!!!

Hi All,

I have been having problems configuring a brand new 2000 server box DNS component without having netlogon errors in the system event viewer.

I have a domain name that is registered but does not have a web site set up yet. My desire is to have this new environment setup with the name of my domain. Each time I do this, I get this netlogon errors ID 5774. I have carried out the recomendations on the Microsoft website with no change.

Does anyone know of any DNS structured best practices out there, please I am in a bind and any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the tcp/ip DNS server address and DNS in the advanced tab pointing to itself ?

Have you tried going through DNS record by record ? Make shure all _msdcs records are correct. DC, Domain, GC, PDC. Also check your sites in ad site/services make sure dc and subnet are correct.
