Windows 2000 crashes in Autocad 2000

Hello there i was wondering is some one could please help me i bought a new computer and installed windows 2000 pro but everytime i use Autocad 2000 my system crashes it takes about 10-20 minutes before it crahes please anyone i would really appreciate your help...

Does this only happen with acad? Do this happen with any other programs that are mem. expensive?

Thanks for your response i had my system setup with other software and the system never crashed so it cannot be the mem at first thats what i thought it was it is really weird since i am able to work in Autocad for about 10-20 minutes and the all of a sudden my system hangs i am wondering if its my video card i will change that tonight .if you have any other suggestions it is vey much appreciated thanks a million in advance.....

have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling autocad? this has worked for me in the past. you might also want to try checking compatibility issues with other software or with hardware drivers. good luck!

Yes it only happens when i use Autocad do you know were i can get a list of hardware that is compatable with Autocad i have been on there website and found nothing please if anyone could help it will be very much appreciated thanks in advance...
