Windows 2000 and SQL-Server 6.5 2

Right now we work with Win NT 4.0 Server and Microsoft SQL-Server 6.5.

We want to change the operating system to Windows 2000 (on a new hardware). Is it nessecary to have Windows 2000 Server or is it operating with Windows 2000 Professional?

Hi There

yes you will need Windows 2000 Server. You will also need Service Pack 5a to run SQL 6.5 on a windows 20000 server.
