window problem

I just remove a couple of viruses in my computer. for some reason sometime my computer shut down on it own. Doest that mean i still have some viruses. if so how come i couldnt detect it?
 
Hi, what anti-virus are you using? Sometimes one is better at detecting than others..

Norton is good, however there are a lott of alternatives out there, but they meen didilly squat if you don't update regularly - i recommend once a day. In the old days it used to be once a month but that was because there was only new viruses coming out once a month. Then it went to once per week, once every couple of days, now it's as soon as a signature for a new virus has been released there are new ones coming out. So make sure it's updated.
Also make sure you have a firewall (not windows firewall its useless), lso make sure you have antispyware ( i use several, all of which are free - eg adaware,spybot sd, ASquared)
Also make sure you have all the latest updates from MS
If you do all this you should be able to keep your pc fairly clean.
