Go to add/remove and uninstall winantivirus if there, delete its folder from c:\program files!

Go to your desktop and right click hijack this, choose rename and choose hijackthis.moon. The run hijack this again and post a new log, this new hijacker will not show up in your log if it recognises hijackthis.exe!

Click Start > Run > and type in:

services.msc

Click OK.

In the services window find Ewido
Right click and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service
Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type"
in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then OK. Exit the
Services utility.

Note: You may get an error here when trying to access the properties of the
service. If you do get an error, just select the service and look there in
the top left of the main service window and click "Stop" to stop the service. If that gives an error or it is already stopped, just skip this step and proceed with the rest.

To deactivate Spyware Doctor's OnGuard Tools

* From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
* Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".

You can reenable it once your system is clean.

Since this is a pop up and not currently installed on your computer (based on your original thread) I think its a BHO. Remove all temporary internet files, and cookies. Also try resetting your homepage.

One last question, why are your .exe's coming from Windows.0\System32?

You can remove these safely and see if it helps:

If you think you can, you might...if you know you can then you will.

A+

I spent so much time trying to delete this problem that finally I just did a clean install. It is sad that these sort of things exist just to cost good people money to have repairs made. Seems there should be a way to prosecute these companies.

xit

If it is still there, then most likely it is hidden either in the HOST file or in the LSPs...

if you have a program to check the HOST file, do so... ie. SpyBot S&D or HOST Filechecker; for more info on the HOST FILE see:
HostFile Checker

for the LSP use the following command and paste it into the RUN BOX and reboot afterwards (SP2 and later only):

netsh winsock reset catalog

or use the program WinSockFix
