I have a hard drive with all my music on it and have recently put the hard drive on a new OS. Now when I double click on the song it wont play in Winamp. Used to double click and it would play. Any ideas.

Open Winamp and right-click somewhere on Winamp.
(NOT on playlist area)
Options -> Preferences.
In the left pane under Setup, click file types.
See if your particular mediatype is selected and if not do so.

its winamp3 if that makes a difference . ther is no setup in the left pane.

Actually I was thinking 2.8 -> down.

Check in the program settings to associate the media type to Winamp.

Can it be that on your old OS the winamp playlists and programme had a path referring to the Drive letter of your music drive. I mean if your music collection was on a drive D: for example.
Now it is on a new OS and maybe it has been assigned another drive letter. for example E:
So when you double click on the list the OS is looking for a path to D:/your song, when in fact it is now E:/your song?
