Every time my system boots up, scan disk starts saying that my computer was not shut off right the last time when I know I did. There is a cure for this I know; please someone give me the answer. thanks.

Thanks for the tip but someone once gave me a site at microsoft with an install fix that will keep win 98 running scandisk everytime I boot up.

You could do what i did and disable it EVER from running at startup..... (using msconfig)
