I'm having a bit of a problem....all music played on my system has an echo. Someone suggested I check to see if "Karaoke" is checked in the sound control panael. I have no idea what they're talking about. Can someone tell me how? Also, I was wondering if someone can tell me how to increase the speed of the flashing beam cursor, when I hit backspace, it takes forEVER to get back like 3 or 4 words. Thanks :)

Check the icons in your taskbar...you should have one shaped like a speaker/bell thingy. See if theres another similar one and if there is double click it and have a look about.
Failing that, what type of sound card do you have? Maybe if one of us has the same one we can give better info...

Clicking the sound icon only brings up that wide board with 8 sound options, but Karaoke is not listed. :(

Do you have an "Options" listed at the top of the mixer? (wide board). "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

It sounds like the person you've been speaking with was talking about SBLive! Environmental Audio. Is your sound card an SBLive! because if it is, this is where you wanna be looking.

Rgds.

Do you have a Synthesizer volume control with "Spatial" and "Reverb" listed at the bottom? Uncheck both of them.(Or turn them off). That could be it. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

Problem solved...I unchecked SW Synth balance Mute box. *Thwaps forehead* duh. :) Thanks all.
