Hi

I recently upgraded my computer,added a AMD Duron 800mhz,
ELSA Gladiac Geforce2MX Graphics card AGP, 256Mb Memory, 20gig Fujitsu Hard Drive, and a new GIGABYTE GA-7IXE4
Motherboard.

It all went okay, until I noticed that the computer hangs if I turn on power saving modes, including using the screen saver.

I have upgraded both the Motherboard and the Graphics card with new drivers, but the problem still happens. I have no other errors at all.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

keith

I usually just disable the hard drive power down. I have had problems with quite a few computers in the power savings area. Not a great fix, but it may get you by, and still save power on the monitor.

Thanks for the reply, I will try that.
