Today my win98 client and thin client boxes could not connect to my Win2k Terminal Server. Where as my win2k clients are able to connect without any problem. I have re-installed TS two times after facing this problem today but this did not help. I also de-activated and activated license thinking that it could be a license issue. I have ADS installed on the same TS. And this is the only server I have in the setup.

I am having the exact issue as you are, can't seem to figure this one out.

sounds like your're running your server in native mode, you need mixed mode. Native mode only supports windows 2000 and above workstations, mixed supports pretty much anything. I know you can't switch your domain controller from native to mixed mode but I think there is a way to run your terminal server in mixed mode with a policy change. Don't have a server in front of me right now but i'll check into it.

I'm sure someone else in the forum can give you a quick answer on that.

I had some problems with 98 PC's connecting to one of my applications on my new 2000 server. Turned out to be DNS related. I pointed the 98 boxes at the IP of the AD/DNS server and it started working. Weird thing is that it worked fine the week after I went to Windows 2000 with AD. 5 days later, the 98 PC's wouldn't connect. Hope that helps.
