Hi
I have a small network with a server running Win2k Server and about 10 computers with XP SP2. We also have 1 computer running Win95 accessing the domain. This connection works fine.
I am in the process of setting up a new WinXP SP2 computer to replace with Win95 one. The problem I’m facing is that the user of the Win95 computer can’t logon to the Win XP computer. I have checked the setup for the Win XP computer, all seems to be fine and a number of other users can logon to it. It appears that the logon for this user only works on the Win95 computer as they can’t logon to any of the other XP computers (not just the new one).
I’ve checked the user’s details in active directory but can’t see any obvious differences in setup/security between the Win95 user’s account and the rest of the user accounts.
Can anyone tell me why this is so or where I could look to find out? I’d prefer not to have to setup a new User account for this person if at all possible.
Many thanks
Karen
