Thanks to those who replied to my question yesterday. I followed all the directions in the microsoft KB article #257333 But I am unable to connnect. Right now I'm behind the same router as the server which is nat'ing the server address. If I try to connect to 192.168.1.99 (the static ip of the server) I get error 789. If I use the address of the gateway (What I would be using from home)I get the same error. I have ports forwrded on the router to the .99 machine. Not sure what to try, thanks in advance for the help.

You can't connect to the lan using vpn from the same lan you are trying to connect from. Sounds confusing I know. I spent a day with my ISP arguing that they were blocking GRP and that's why I couldn't connect from within my own lan.

Set up remote connection software (pcAnywhere, Radmin, VNC) on the server. Go home and try your connection. If you need to adjust any settings on the server, connect using the remote control software from home.
