Hi Folks:

Maybe someone or somebody can help me with
this one. When I (IPL)or bootup my system it
hangs up just after all icons come on the desktop. and all other process's stop,if you
put the curser on a icon nothing happens, if
you put the curser in the title bar(startray)
I get a hourglass and this will stay like this until doom's day. The only way to get out of this situation is to use ctrl+alt+del
and bring up the task manager and Kill(end)
the process of EXPLORER.exe. I then restart
Explorer.exe and only then the machine becomes functional. After this process I must start all other programs that did not
initialize and then load my firewall(zonealarm).

Assuming you have things running in the "startup" folder...

Take all unneccessary things out of the "startup" folder & see if the
system behaves better, if so, add them back in slowly till the problem
resurfaces.

Hi to the Netwalker:

Thereis nothing in the startup folder. This
all started when I updated IE60.

check in the Registry :
under :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You Will find the Softwares which are starting when the Windows Start-up ,, Check them , if there is any unwanted software ,, delete it from the Right Side ..

Note: Remember to Backup your Registry First.
