Hello,
I have just removed network domain from my OS and now running everything locally. But there are many network mappings that are still present in the computer due to which programs start very slow, installations fail, etc. since the connection to network domain controller is no longer valid. What is the best way to clear out all such network mappings and registry entries. Is there a tool I can use or I have to do it manually everytime I discover one.

Thanks,
Samit Jain

Once a Domain workstation is removed, there are so many related associations that I just do a clean install.

You mean reinstalling the OS !!!
That doesn't sound a good solution. There should be something provided by Microsoft for such a common problem ... i hope :(

There is no easy way. To eleiminate nay applications from giving errors you would have to reinstall them locally. The exiting network mapping in un My Computer/Network you would have to delete. You could also resolve by rettaching to the network. Thanks, James
