Hi,

I am using a Win2k dhcp server to service desktops booted with MSDOS network client. However, it seems that they are having problems obtaining a ip address from the dhcp server. The clients when simply 'hang' when trying to obtain an ip address. My dhcp server is also configured with an server option for DNS. The DNS is running on a Win2k3 server.

Not sure if Win2k3 or Win2k has compatibility problems with Dos clients..

Any help?

is your DOS client DHCP-enabled (what version of Dosclient) ?

XM

Yes. The client is already dhcp enabled. Using version 3. The strange thing is, sometimes the clients will be able to obtain an ip, but only after a very long time later.

Strange

I have also realised that the clients are creating alot of "BAD_ADDRESS" entries in the dhcp server. Can anyone help?
