Does anyone know what ports are used in Win2k Authentication? I am trying to get users from a remote site to connect via wan. Thanks

If you wan is directly connected to you lan, you do not need ports, just the protocols.
Can they at least 'see' eachother.
And please define WAN, what is in between (firewall, router...)
Port list here, just in case
If the solution is here, let us know it was helpful so others can benefit from it as too

wan is not directly connected. users are going through multiple routers and a fire wall.

Fine, but can the client see the server?
Ping by IP AND name? If the solution is here, let us know it was helpful so others can benefit from it as too

remote site can not see server ping ip or name

ok, well the start with the routing on all in between devices, the routers and the firewall.
You will never get to the server if the ping does not even work, that's basic networking.
Advice, go step by step or you will get lost. If the solution is here, let us know it was helpful so others can benefit from it as too

With ping being blocked at the firewall, we are having to set up a vpn for each mac and ip for the users to connect. Thought I would let you know of the resolution.

ok
Just that you know, un-blocking ping on firewalls is sometimes VERY handy ! If the solution is here, let us know it was helpful so others can benefit from it as too
