Win2K & AT power supply

I am using AT power supply with an ACPI-compliant computer,
when Windows 2000 sends the signal to turn off the computer, the AT power supply cannot do that.
Then I want the message 'now it is safe to turn it off' displayed not the white prompt in the black screen.

Would you know a way to solve the problem and get the message displayed, thanks Gustavo.-
