Can any body tell me any informative website on clustring. I never did culstring before. I want to read clustring before start to install it.

Thanks

2k server clustering is a very expensive world-- id suggest speaking to a specialist IT company to advise you.

hi,

I belive that atanoli knows how much clustering is expensive
and in special mode how much is expensive SQL Enterprise Edition. However, also if a part of all job is done
by a specialist, I belive that a is a good thing for a customer (that ramain the "owner" of the system), know well what a consultant or a supplier is doing in "his house".

A supplier !

bye

What i didnt add in my last post was that weve implemented SQL clustering on a few occasions and its a minefield.
Rather than asking on a forum you need to speak to an Specialist IT company and get an onsite visit to establish your clustering options

I work for a vendor by the way

Well, I agree with above messages. You can have a look in 'Microsoft: Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS)" forum, to see what issues/problems are involved.
I have some experience, and theoretical knowledge also about MSCS. Indeed, you have to make a carefull planning, and configuring (hardware, software).
If you need help, drop me some lines.

Let me check these sites :)
Thank you very much.

OK, what if I don’t have specialized servers for clustering? If I have P4 with IDE HDDs no SCSI HDD?

Need some discussion.

Becuase I don't want to waste my 2 P4 PCS.

Is there any way to install clustring on IDE HDD?
