This may be a simple quesiton, but I'm fairly new to Windows... I have a W2K server running IIS connected to a Netopia DSL router. I can access the IIS web server while I'm plugged into the router, but if I drop the network connection (pull the cable out of the router), I can no longer access any web pages on the local machine. I can't even ping the ip address (192.168.1.2).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try to use 127.0.0.1 as your ip address instead
