From the desktop, i double clicked the My Computer icon. The computer appeared to have hungup, so i press CTR-ALT-DEL
for the task manager, it showed 'My computer' not responding, so i end task, nothing happened, i called task manager again and end task. This is what got me to the blue screen. Now calling the task manager shows no task running.
So you received a blue screen, but you can still pull up the task manager? That's odd... If you cannot get back to explorer, there isn't much you can do...
Have you on that computer some mappings? When you doubli click MyComputer it is checking all connections: internal drives, external connections.
If you have a network problem, and one of the network connection cannot be "resolved" then te explorer window is waiting a little more time,. and if you look in your task manager you will see that explorer as "not responding".
So,.. check carefuly your network configuration. Eventually try to remember when the error appeared first time, what was the possible event that triggered it.
